As we all know, the Japanese people are one of the longest-living people in the world. The plant konjac, which plays an important role in the healthy diet of the Japanese, has been used in the Japanese diet for hundreds of years. NAKAKI Food Co., Ltd., located in Aichi Prefecture, is Japan's most famous and time-honored manufacturer of konjac products. It has now spanned over 100 years of history. In the hands of Mr. Toshikazu Nakamura, the third-generation helm, it has developed nearly two hundred konjac products, which are supplied to major retail and catering food services in Japan, far ahead of their peers. In supermarkets, restaurants, and e-commerce sales networks wherever there is konjac, the name NAKAKI will appear.

Nakaki spent years developing its magic konjac products. In 2018, people who loved Nakaki magic konjac products started selling them in Japan and Taiwan. We found that the number of customers was increasing and we got lots of requests to increase production.

Traditional Konjac Food

Konjac has been popular in Japan as an ingredient since the 700s. It is mainly used in "Oden", ”Sukiyaki”, ”Syabusyabu" traditional Japanese common foods in daily life.

Konjac Ramen, Konjac Pasta and Konjac Rice

About 30 years ago, we started to use rich dietary fiber konjac in developing healthy products as an alternative to “rice”, “noodle” and “pasta”.
Now, we develop our magic products for the purpose of carbohydrate restrictions and diet foods.

Konjac Jelly

About 20 years ago, we established the technology of konjac jelly that has the function of cleaning the large intestine in Japan.
Adding rich dietary fiber konjac ingredients into jelly was a big boom.

Cooking Example Recipes

The Basic Peperoncino (Italian Pasta)

Ingredients (single serving)

Nakaki noodle  ······ 1 bag

(A)

Olive oil  ······ 2 tabelspoons

Garlic  ······ 1 clove

Red bell pepper  ······ one

Bacon  ······ 3 slices (4 oz)

(B)

Bouillon  ······ 1/2 cup

*Consomme soup or chicken soup

Water  ······ 1 cup

Parsley sticer

Dry chili pepper


Preparation:

1.Cut the bacon into fine pieces.
2.Cut the garlic clove into thin slices
3.Cut the red bell pepper in half and remove the seeds inside, chop to small cubes.

 

Cooking instructions:

1.Put olive oil in a sauce pan and add garlic, slowly stir fry over medium heat.
2.Once smelling the aroma of the garlic, add the bacon and continue stir fry.
3.Gently knead the noodles in order to separate the noodles and then add it to the sauce pan on a low heat, continue stir fry.
4.Add ingredients (B) and continue to stir fry.
5.Once stir fry well, add parsley and the dry chili pepper, mix well as your personal choice.

 


Tomato Cheese Risotto

Ingredients (single serving)

Nakaki rice  ······ 1 bag

Olive oil  ······ 1 tablespoon

(A)

Cooked sausage  ······ two (5 oz)

Onion  ······ 1/4 (1/2 cup)

Garlic  ······ 1 clove

(B)

Tomato paste  ······ 1.5 cups

Tomato  ······ 1 medium size (3.5 oz)

Bouillon  ······ 3/4 cup (6.8 oz)

*Consomme soup or chicken soup

Parmesan cheese  ······ 1/2 cup

Pepper  ······ pinch

Basil pieces

Preparation:

1.Finely chop the sausage, onion, and garlic 2.Cut the tomato in chunks (medium size) 3.Gently knead the rice to make it soft and separate.

 

Cooking Instructions:

1.Add the olive oil into a sauce pan, heat on the medium fire, add ingredients (A )and stir fry.
2.Add tomato, continue to stir fry.
3.Add rice and ingredients (B) to the pan, mix well, turn the fire to be medium heat, cook 5 minutes till see the liquid reduced.
4.Add parmesan cheese and pepper, thoroughly mix well.
5.Pour to a serving plate, top with dry parmesan cheese and basil per your personal preference.




Nakaki Rice Vegetable Salad

Ingredients (servers four)

Nakaki rice  ······ 1 bag

 

(A)

Cucumber  ······ 1/2 ( mediem size)

Bell peppers (red and yellow)  ······ 1/2 of each

Celery  ······ 1 stick

Purple cabbage  ······ 2 slices


Salad Dressing  ······ 4 teaspoons

Tomato  ······ 1/2   

Chervil few slices


Preparation:

Cut the cucumber, bell peppers, purple cabbage, celery, tomato, and chervil into easy-to-eat small cubes.

 

Cooking Instructions:

1.Gently knead Nakaki rice to make it soft and separate. Add rice and chopped vegetables into a salad bowl, drizzle the salad dressing and toss well.
2.Put to the individual glasses or serving plates. Add your preference topping as decoration. i.e. tomato and chervil.













Shrimp with Tomato Cream Pasta

Ingredients(Single serving)

Nakaki noodle  ······ 1 bag

Olive oil  ······ 1 tablespoon

Garlic  ······ 1 clove

Onion  ······ 1/2 (medium size)

Shrimp medium size 6 to 7

Tomato sauce  1 can  ······ 6 oz

Chicken bouillon  ······ 1/2 cup

*Consomme soup or chicken soup

Sugar  ······ 1 teaspoon

Fresh cream  ······ 1/2 cup

Salt  ······ 1/2 teaspoon

Pepper  ······ pinch

*Parsley

*Grated cheese

 

Preparation:

1.Peel the shrimp and remove the dark strings from the back. Rinse clean.
2.Finely chop the garlic and onion.

 

Cooking Instructions:

1.Add the olive oil into a sauce pan on the lowest heat. Add the garlic and onion and stir fry.

2.Once onion transparent add the shrimp, continue stir fry.
3.Add the tomato sauce turn to medium fire.
4.When the tomato sauce reduced 2/3, add the fresh cream.
5.Gently knead Nakaki noodles from outside bag, to make noodles soft and separate. Add it to the sauce pan and mix well.
6.Pour to serving plates, topping with parsley and grated cheese to your personal preference.

Chicken Pho (Chicken Rice Noodles)

Ingredients  (Single serving)

Nakaki noodle  ······ 1 bag

Chicken breast  ······ two pieces (about 3.5 oz)

Water  ······ 1 and 3/4 cups

(A)
Chicken stock cube  ······ 1/2 cup

Nam Pla (fish sauce)  ······ 1/2 cup

*You can add any vegetable ingredients you like for topping, i.e. green onion, bean sprout or leeks. There are unlimited toppings for pho (rice noodles)

 

Cooking Instructions:

1.Remove the fat oil from chicken breasts. Put the clean chicken breast in a pot and add water. Turn the fire on to boil it.
2.After the water has boiled, remove any foam on the water surface. Simmer for 5 minutes on low heat. When the chicken breast has cooked, take it out to cool down, cut the chicken breast into easy-to-eat chicken strips.
3.Add ingredient (A) and Nakaki noodle into the pot with the cooked chicken breast stock. Cook additional 2-3 minutes.
4.Pour cooked noodles into a bowl and add the chicken strips.
5.Add your favorite ingredients as toppings.

Pancakes

Ingredients (Single serving)

Nakaki rice ······1bag

(A)
Eggs ······2 

Sugar ······5 tbsp  

Salt ······1/2 tsp

Milk  ······1 cup (8 oz)

(B)
Cake flour ······1 and 1/2 cups  

Baking powder 2 tsp

Add fresh cream, fresh fruit to taste



Cooking Instructions:

1.Combine (A) into a big bowl, mix well sugar is melted.
2.Then add Nakaki rice mix well.
3.Using rubber spatula to continue mix while slowly adding (B) into the bowl, mix well.
4.Spray PAM into a sauce pan, heat the pan with medium fire, add proper portion of mixed flour from the bowl, grill around 3 mins.
5.When see little bubbles coming out on the surface, turn over to the other side, continue grill 2 mins, turn the fire off. Pancake should be golden brown color both sides.


















Nakaki Rice Vegetable Salad

Ingredients (servers four)

Nakaki rice  ······ 1 bag

Cucumber  ······ 1/2 ( mediem size)

Bell peppers (red and yellow)  ······ 1/2 of each

Celery  ······ 1 stick

Preparation:
